Summer Time

Hey Miss Hollywood!

Today when I picked her up from daycare, she saw my sunglasses sitting on top of my head.  She reached up and tried to grab them off my head, but I caught her hand before she was able to.  I strapped her in her carseat and she stole them from my head as I clicked all the buckles.  She attempted to put them on but couldn't quite get it and needed Mommy's help.  We sat there for a couple of minutes as she wore them and laughed each time she pushed them back up over her eyes.  Then we were ready to go, I grabbed them back from her and hopped in the front seat.

She whined a little as we pulled out of the parking lot and even more so at the first stop light.  So, I reluctantly took them from my face and passed them back to Miss Audrey Sue.  Audrey kept trying to put them on her face but they ended up around her neck and under her chin, so I turned around thinking this would hopefully occupy her for a while.  I began singing a song on the radio and as I got caught up in doing so I figured I'd better turn my head to make sure Audrey hadn't bent my sunglasses to pieces.  I turned my head and immediately got a chuckle at what was staring back at me.

Audrey had her head tilted up, cheezing away with a big smile because she got the sunglasses up above her nose and they were where they were supposed to be.  I had to laugh because you could tell she was thinking she was Miss Hollywood with those shades on.

I got the hint that she needs her own pair.
