We are Ready!!!

Audrey's daddy was never really into football or into any football team before she was born.  He enjoyed watching a game at a sports bar every once in a while with his brother in college but never really got into the sport.  His sport was baseball.  However, when we purchased our first home and found out a couple of months later that we were expecting... it was time for football season.  I think the thought of throwing a football in the yard with his child was exciting to him.  And, it's a good reason to get the boys over and drink a few beers.  But, back to my first point, I believe he saw some bonding time in the near future with his child that we were expecting. 

We found out in December, around his birthday, that we were expecting a girl and her name would be Audrey Sue.  Now, that our daughter has been in this world for 2 football seasons, the hope that he and she bond over a good football game is in full force. 

Sunday, September 12 at 7:15 we sat down to watch some Cowboys football.  Audrey went to bed at exactly 7:20.  The hope is still very much alive with Audrey's Daddy.  Too bad the next two games have noon kick-off times... that's Audrey's nap time.  I personally love only a few things about football season - opening the windows to let the fall breeze circulate throughout the house and cuddling up under a blanket while the football announcer puts me to sleep for my nap.
